Sigma Psi Zeta is an Asian-interested, multicultural Greek Organization. We are a cultural, social, educational, and community service-oriented sorority. We are the first Greek-lettered sorority of its kind to be established on the East Coast, and today, we are one of the largest and most distinguished multicultural sororities in the nation.
About Us
Since 2020, New York University Sigma Psi Zeta has welcomed strong-willed and intelligent members into our Sorority. Founded by a group of young and courageous individuals who took a leap of faith to form this chapter, our hope is to keep their legacy alive for generations to come.
We encourage intellectual growth and success by offering alumni networking opportunities and a variety of events throughout the year, which encourage bonding between members and help create a foundation of lasting friendships.

A Message From Our President
Welcome to the Alpha Tau Charter of Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority, Incorporated!
My name is Kylie “GAMBIT” Wong, and I’m the current president of this membership at New York University. Our membership is made up of hardworking, passionate, and dependable young womxn. We hold the title: SYZter, highly. Thank you for clicking on our website, and enjoy our digital home.
As a fall freshman, I was afraid of making friends and not finding a community. But, when I came to the Sigma Psi Zeta recruitment events, I found the most welcoming and funny group of people. This sorority was not like the rumors I’ve been told my whole life. I was in awe to see that no one SYZter looked the same. All the SYZters have different personalities and come from different cultures and backgrounds. Even though we are not all the same, I have been able to learn and care for each one of my SYZters by finding a common interest with each of them. Since I crossed in the fall semester in 2021 as a Breakthrough Beta, every additional semester, I continue to meet new, incredible, devoted womxn that I know once I leave, the organization will be in exceptional hands.
Before college, I never knew there were multicultural sororities focused on inequalities that I’ve also fought for all my life. Being an Asian woman in America, I recognize the disadvantage I was born with. However, once I joined Sigmas, I’ve seem to grown stronger with my community. Together, we are all fighting for the same goals. Sigma Psi Zeta is a national organization with SYZters from all over the world. No matter where I go, I know there is a SYZter near and I will never be alone anymore.
